Hey bookworms! So August was a big reading month for me! I read 11 books. I’ve never read so many books in one month, at least not since University. I’ve been having a nice slow summer and I think that’s been helping with all the reading.
I finished the Twilight Series, reading Eclipse, Breaking Dawn and ,for the first time, The Brief Second Life of Bree Tanner.
Then I started the #SJTRReadathon with @bookshelfdragon and @aliyahherondale. So in August we Read the first two books of the series, Stalking Jack the Ripper and Hunting Prince Dracula. I’m going to do a big review for the whole series later in September because we are still reading the 3rd and then the 4th book this month.
I finally read Where the Crawdads Sing and it was such a good book. Well worth the hype. Review Here. I followed that with another sad book, Ask Again, Yes which I liked but not as much as Crawdads. Review Here. Then I read a third sad book, Don’t Put the Boats Away, which I did not like really at all. Review Here.
For thrillers this month, I read my second Ruth Ware book, The Woman in Cabin 10, review here, and loved it. I also read Missing Person by Sarah Lotz which I really enjoyed as well! Review for that coming later this week.
Finally I read The Simple Wild while away camping and it was really good. I really liked the author, K.A. Tucker and I want to read more of her books. Review here.
If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I have a very daunting September TBR to tackle so wish me luck!
Happy Reading!
