Thank you to @BookSparks for sending me this copy for review.
This is a really great book for everyone to read. If you don’t have anxiety or other mental health things, it will help you understand better the people in your life that do. And if you do have anxiety or other mental health things, this book will help you understand yourself, tell you how to seek help, and help you laugh, and laughter is the best medicine.
Amanda Rosenberg is a comedian so you can bet this book is funny. I literally laughed out loud multiple time while reading it. Amanda is very open about her own mental health struggles, including anxiety, suicide attempts and bipolar disorder 2.
Trigger Warning: Suicidal thoughts
Amanda spends most of the book making fun of herself and telling honest stories about her struggles. Through the stories she tells us the ways she’s learned to cope and all about her use of medication, and the fun times when she decides to take a “Medication Vacation”. The chapters are short and well laid out, packed with a lot of information and a lot of humour.
As a quick easy read, I highly recommend this one for a light look at mental health.
Happy Reading!
