Good Monday morning bookworms! It’s an exciting Monday for me because I’ve announced something fun on Instagram this morning. It’s something that I have been thinking about doing for a while but kept hesitating, and maybe the winter cold has been stopping me. I’m starting a virtual run club! Every Thursday I will go for a run and I’m inviting everyone to join me virtually! You can join in on Instagram by tagging me and using the hashtag #RunWithAngie. I’m so excited to have running buddies from all over the world, and I hope this motivates me and you to get our butts out the door. I’ve been asked if people who prefer walking can join and that is absolutely okay! The goal is to get outside and sweat, you can also a treadmill! I just want you to join the party!
This month so far has not been great for reading. I had a nonfiction book scheduled as my first book of the month and it’s a bit slow. I’m still not finished. I did finish A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne Brown and loved it! I’ll be posting my review for that one later this week. I also finished We Begin at the End by Chris Whitaker. Review Here. I’m in the middle of 3 books. I started reading The Hobbit but have set that aside for now to focus on all my scheduled books. I’m halfway through The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert and hope to finish it this week. Yesterday I also started Red Island House by Andrea Lee and it’s very intriguing.
Last week I picked up some great new books and made a stop at Indigo to pick up some things! I added the following books to my shelves: The Rose Code by Kate Quinn, Never Grow Up by Jackie Chan (this is the result of the recent Rush Hour marathon I did with my husband), Act Your Age Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert, Namesake by Adrienne Young and the first two books in the Covenant Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
I have a bunch of preorders still coming this month and it’s my birthday on March 31 so I expect I’ll get some books for that too! How is your reading going this month so far? Read any amazing books you think I should read?
